Another nice day with a slightly too cold and strong wind but where the wind can’t reach it’s quite nice 🙂 A bit more clouds at lunch time though but now it looks like we’re having a clear blue sky again. We better enjoy this because soon the cold weather will return.

Still it will be above 0C (32F) every day but nights will be cold and I will have to scrape ice from my car before going to work. It’ll also be dark then again since we today changed to what we call summer time, Your daylight saving time. I didn’t win the lottery so I will have to continue to work I’m afraid 🙂 🙂Â

We walked down to the bog this morning and to my big surprise the water was still frozen in most places. Well it doesn’t look like there’s any water because lots of old leafs were still frozen to the surface.. I had to jump on some tuffts to get to more solid ground and actually managed to keep my feet dry 🙂 🙂 🙂 Alma seems to be able to behave more or less every second day, so she was awful yesterday but behaved pretty well today. I think however I might need to call the doctor because my shoulder doesn’t seem to want to stop hurting.

I saw the first bumblebee today 🙂 I do hope it found something to eat because there aren’t much in bloom right now. I could put out some sugar water but it might attract the beekeepers honey bees instead so a single bumblebee wouldn’t stand a chance anyway. I don’t mind the honey bees of course but they do after all have lots of food anyway. The neighbors and I will join our vegetable patches this year so today we started to talk about what to grow and where. They have either moles or voles in their garden and if it is a vole potatoes are out of the question since it would eat anything growing below the surface.

We’ll talk more about it next weekend since it will get cold anyway and nothing can be planted or sown. I have however sowed corn and I’ll have those in my garden since I’ll try the thing of growing in squares. Corn plants will be great for beans and peas to climb up on. I also need to start looking for materials to build fences around my patches (and to make the fence I have around my garden higher) so that no dog easily can dig up and eat up anything I manages to grow 🙂 🙂 🙂

Have a great day!

Hi Jaz!
We’re growing the potatoes in my garden because I have mostly only sand which potatoes love but voles and Moles hate since their tunnels fall apart so fast 🙂 So we’re growing other things like onions over at my neighbors because voles don’t like that at all 🙂
I used to grow potatoes in big buckets and it works really good 🙂
Have a great day!
Christer.
